From barns to castles, the city centre to the countryside, the list of wedding venues in this fair county is broad. We've included a wide variety of venues and given ten of our favourites to inspire you!
Of course, there are many more perfectly lovely locations in the county, but we hope we've selected some that will focus your attention in deciding on where to hold your big day!
Hothorpe House
A grand Georgian house surrounded by manicured gardens, OOHHHH we hear you say!
This secluded location is the perfect place to hold a bespoke and luxurious private wedding. Enjoy a tailor-made menu from their executive chef, made from locally sourced produce inspired by the surrounding countryside.

Mythe Barn
Refined, rustic and contemporary, (OOHHH we have goosebumps!) Mythe Barn is an idyllic wedding venue set amidst acres of Leicestershire countryside. Exclusively yours, civil ceremonies can be held inside under stunning oak beams or outside in the fabulous gardens. Dining is exceptional; from the formal wedding breakfast to relaxed barbecues and street food in The Courtyard. When the sun goes down, retire to your luxurious honeymoon suite. Castle View Farm and Stables
Castle View Stables is a wedding venue in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside, boasting idyllic views over the Welland Valley and across to Rockingham Castle. Set on a working farm, Castle View is a family-run venue with a passion for entertaining and the outdoors.
Now, every couple is different so therefore no two weddings should be expected to be the same. At Castle View, they offer their venue as a blank canvas so that you can bring your own visions to life.
All their packages include exclusive venue hire of Castle View, including the barn, stable bar, farmland, pond, and willow trees, so there is plenty of photo opportunities and room to incorporate your love of the outdoors on your special day. Keythorpe Manor
The idyllic setting offers the bespoke Keythorpe Manor marquee, for your civil ceremony, reception or wedding breakfast. The marquee’s French doors open out onto the surrounding veranda, which is the perfect space for a drink reception, outdoor bar, or a hog roast; and serves as a viewing platform which allows guests to enjoy the countryside views in a secluded & peaceful setting.
Just when you were already sold on the manor, The Keythorpe Manor marquee allows you to personalise your event and serves as a blank canvas for you to create an event that reflects your individuality. Sketchley Grange
Contemporary and elegant, Sketchley Grange is a delightful wedding venue nestled in the beautiful landscapes of the Leicestershire countryside.
With the choice between 5 wedding suites and an outdoor pagoda, your civil ceremony, civil partnership, wedding breakfast and reception can be held in the room that suits you, with guests from as little as 15 people with their Romantic and Intimate package or if you are looking to go all out with more guests, they have a suite that will be a perfect fit.

Kilworth House

Ladywood Estate
Ladywood Estate is well established as one of the leading wedding venues in Leicestershire and the East Midlands.
Ladywood is licensed for civil ceremonies in 4 separate areas including a terrace for outdoor ceremonies. They have two purpose-built halls to avoid the need for marquees. There are no tents at Ladywood! They have two luxurious halls blend into the estate’s formal gardens and parkland, surrounded by rustic stone terraces.
The Orangery: is used for wedding ceremonies, drink receptions and English tea parties, features a full-length glass wall that creates that ‘outside - inside’ experience.
The Wedding Pavilion: used for dining, and dancing, with a commercial kitchen, cloakrooms, and bar. Underfloor heating makes autumn or winter events an attractive possibility.

Prestwold Hall
Surrounded by beautiful parkland and carefully manicured gardens, Prestwold Hall is a Grade I listed stately home. You’ll find it standing proudly in the heart of Leicestershire Wolds, and this one-of-a-kind wedding venue awaits you and your love story (OOHHH here come the goosebumps again!)

Catthorpe Manor
Hidden in the picturesque countryside this Edwardian manor is home to this enchanting wedding venue. With a choice of ceremony rooms including two licenced outdoor spaces and a range of beautiful reception rooms, there is sure to be a room to wow you for your big day!
If you are looking for an exclusive wedding venue, with sensational photographic backdrops, civil ceremony and outdoor wedding spaces and beautiful private rooms for your wedding reception, plus excellent homemade food and elegant accommodation, Catthorpe Manor Estate is the wedding venue for you.
Donnington Park Farmhouse
Probably the first barn wedding venue in the country! They’ve been hosting weddings and parties in their charming eighteenth-century barns since 1984 and created a lot of happy memories.
Relax and enjoy a day that’s different. If the idea of eating in original pig sties and dancing in a magnificent threshing barn appeals to you then it is the place for you!
Your wedding reception can be as formal or as casual as you like; you set the tone and they will be right there with you. You can choose to have just your reception and evening with them or the whole day. Hold your civil ceremony in either the Hitching Room, for up to 80 guests, or The Threshing Barn, for up to 150. The barn is fully licensed and heated for all-year-round use. The team at Donnington can cater for celebrations of all sizes, from small intimate gatherings to bustling parties of up to 300 guests.
